Oxygen

Oxygen is the active life sustaining component of air, comprising of approximately 21% of the air we breathe. It is highly reactive, colorless, odorless and tasteless. It is the 2nd largest industrially consumed gas.
Below are the uses of Oxygen
- In the manufacturing of steel
- Used in medicine for therapeutic purposes and in treating patients with respiratory disorder
- In combustion system to have increased reaction rates
- To increase combustion temperature in iron and copper blast furnaces, iron melting foundry cupolas and rock or slag melting cupolas
- In glass industry to reduce particulate and nitrous oxide emissions in melting operations
- Used with fuel gases like acetylene in gas welding, gas cutting, flame cleaning, flame hardening & flame straightening
